Frank Camozzi joined BurgessGroup after a 30-year career with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in San Francisco, where he focused on Medicare fee-for service policy.

Most recently, Frank served as senior technical advisor on Medicare fee-for-service issues for the regional office. He trained staff on policy matters and provided technical assistance to health care providers, Medicare contractors, consultants, attorneys and Congressional staff.

Throughout his career, he directed a number of CMS initiatives for the regional office. He led the implementation of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and the Outpatient Prospective Payment System. In the months leading up to the launch of the Medicare Prescription Drug Program, Frank and his team of Medicare health insurance specialists worked with the pharmacy community of San Francisco to prepare them for the changes in process and policy.

He has also represented his regional office on the Payers Committee of the California Hospital Association and served as a Medicare policy liaison for the California Medical Association and California Pharmacists Association.
