BRS supports the following payment policies for IRF services:
- List of Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals by facility, searchable by National Provider (NPI), 6-character CMS Certification Number (CCN) and facility name
- Claims priced in accordance with the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System (IRF PPS)
- Case Mix Group (CMG) based payment
- CBSA based wage index adjustment
- Type of Bill logic
- Late Assessment Penalty (LAP) applied when due
- Outlier add-on for exceptionally costly stays calculated using the provider-specific cost-to-charge (CCR) ratio
- Special CMG pricing for when the patient expires and for exceptionally short stays
- LIP adjustment
- Teaching adjustment
- Rural adjustment
